Cerro Castor, 26 kilometers northeast of Ushuaia, in the extreme south of Argentine Patagonia, is the most modern ski resort in Argentina. Most winter sports enthusiasts arrive in Ushuaia on a 3 hour 30-minute flight from Buenos Aires. In addition to the groomed slopes, Cerro Castor is also famous for off-piste, it is an ideal place for freestylers and snowboarders.
