Skiing in the most important ski area in North America, with over 200 km of slopes and 39 ski lifts, a truly unique ski area.
Whistler , in British Columbia, is a locality with only 10 thousand inhabitants. Although it is located at only 675 meters above sea level and reaches 2,284 meters above sea level with its peaks, throughout the winter period, there are abundant, powdery and fluffy snowfalls. The resort hosted some alpine skiing competitions during the Winter Olympics which took place in Vancouver in 1968 and 2010. Mountain lovers can practice many activities in contact with nature that will make the holiday unforgettable:
The two main peaks, Whistler and Blackcomb, and their slopes are joined together by the longest cable car in the world, called the Peak-To-Peak Gondola , over 4.4 km, which connects the two mountains, and also creates a unique area, allowing tourists, during the crossing, to admire the breathtaking views. Skiing in Canada, and in Whistler, is a fantastic experience for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, who will be able to find the right slope to suit their needs. For freestyle enthusiasts there are 6 snowparks available; families will be able to ski in the “Family Zone”, an area where parents and children can try their hand together and test their skills. Not to be missed, for the bravest, is the descent from Couloir Extreme , pure energy and adrenaline, together with the 50 km of black slopes.
